5. Runaway Minion!

This 40 foot tall, inflatable Minion wreaked havoc in Dublin, Ireland, recently as he escaped his tether and tumbled down the road, rolling aimlessly over everything in his path – including cars! Dublin City Councilman, Paul McAuliffe failed to see the humor in the situation, describing the incident as a “despicable” breach of health and safety. Despicable … get it?

4. Princess Yellow Feather

YouTube is full of self-made internet stars and American Idol hopefuls singing covers, but what about this songbird? Princess Yellow Feather shows us how it’s done!

Yellow-naped Amazon parrots are known for their ability to mimic human sounds – including speech and song. With a set list including “Everything is Awesome” and “All By Myself”, Princess Yellow Feather entertains guests at the Birds on Safari pet store in Stuart, Florida, where she currently lives. Road trip, anyone?

3. Balls Away!!

That was the mayor’s signal to release the final load of 96 million plastic balls into a LA Reservoir. These hollow black plastic balls are 4 inches in diameter, cost 36 cents each, are non-degradable, designed to last for 25 years, and will conserve more than 300 million gallons of water each year. With this extensive coverage, the water quality will remain at safe levels and the shade will prevent evaporation.

2. Move Over Jaws … Here Comes “Deep Blue”

What’s scarier than coming face to face with a Great White Shark in the wild blue? How about a Great White Shark that’s estimated to be around 50 years old, over 20 feet long…hungry and pregnant! Nicknamed “Deep Blue”, this shark, shown here near Guadalupe Island in Mexico, is believed to be the largest ever caught on film. Watch as she circles, trying to gnaw on the bars but then, researcher Mauricio Hoyos gives her the most epic high five ever! Just remember Misses Deep Blue, “Fish are friends, not food”
