More than 25 years ago, Ripley’s acquired these iconic statues, each standing five feet high and weighing over 70 pounds, from West African Baulé tribesmen. Believed to increase fertility, they’ve brought joy and inspiration across the world. Incredibly, we’ve received more than 2,000 beautiful testimonials from couples conceiving after touching the statues! A unique and cherished part of Ripley’s collection, they’ve become an unusual favorite.

This outpouring of fan mail and submissions—even to this day, as we transition from analog to digital means of sharing—goes to show that everyone has an unbelievable story to tell!

Our three-story Odditorium is the perfect place for an out-of-the-ordinary family adventure! Hundreds of artifacts in more than a dozen themed galleries spanning topics like history, pop culture, art, travel, and more will leave curious minds of all ages spinning in excitement!

Authentic Shrunken Heads

The origin of one of our most iconic exhibits dates back to the early 1920s, when Robert Ripley acquired a shrunken head from a trader in Panama City and kickstarted his collection of unusual objects from around the world. Today, there are more than 100 authentic shrunken heads, or tsantsa, in the Ripley’s collection.

Vampire Killing Kit

Believe It or Not!, Ripley’s owns one of the world’s largest collections of vampire killing kits. While it’s difficult to confirm the true origins and purposes behind these kits (actual protection or cheeky souvenir?), they contain everything one would need to fight the undead: wooden stakes, crucifixes, garlic, and even guns with silver bullets!
