Taking Fandom to Another Level

The Hobbit premiered only 5 days ago and has already grossed over $200 million.   With stats like that no one would argue that The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings don’t have an impressive following.

A media shy Hobbit lover somewhere in Pennsylvania contracted Archer & Buchanan architecture design team to make him a liveable Hobbit house!Just Google anything LOTR related and you will be thrust into an internet subculture of geekdom.  However, one fan takes the cake and reigns J.R.R. Tolkein Fan Grand Supreme!

Archer & Buchanan note the home is not an exact replica of the Peter Jackson version of the Shire. Rather, it is Hobbit inspired, complete with the iconic round doors and arched butterfly windows.

The owner has been collecting Tolkien memorabilia for over 30 years, and his new cozy home is the perfect place to house his collection. Take a look at the images of the house.  Makes me want to kick back and relax with a bit of pipe-weed and ale!
