Fun Facts
Florida’s oldest miniature golf course opened on July 15, 1949, as the St. Augustine Miniature Golf Course. The course’s first game was played by former U.S. miniature golf champion E. L. Madigan (yes—that’s a thing!), local golf pro Art Manucy, and W. I. Drysdale of the St. Augustine Alligator Farm.

Following protests during the Civil Rights Movement, the St. Augustine Miniature Golf Course became the first public facility in the city to be desegregated.
In 2014, Ripley’s Bayfront Mini Golf became the first miniature golf course in Florida to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
